In this lesson your child learned the great Law of Love, which
teaches that we must love God above all things and must
love others as we love ourselves. It is often called the
great commandment. Your child has also learned the Our
Father--the prayer that Jesus Himself taught. The
Catechism of the Catholic Church reminds us that the Our
Father is a summary of the whole gospel and the model
for Christian prayer.

Talk with your child about the Law of Love and what it means to you.
Then share together ways you will show love this week
for
The Our Father
Invite your child to pray the Our Father with you. Help him or her
with the difficult words. This week during Mass help
your child to join your parish community in praying it
together before Holy Communion.
