In this lesson your child learned about what happened on Holy
Thursday (the Last Supper), Good Friday (the
crucifixion), and Easter Sunday (the resurrection). The
time from Holy Thursday evening to Easter Sunday evening
is called the Easter Triduum. The Triduum is the most
important time in the Church's liturgical year. Because
of Jesus' death and resurrection, we share His new life.
Every one of us is called to pass from death to eternal
life.
The Last Supper
Help your child make a drawing showing what Jesus did at the Last
Supper. Let him or her tell you what is in the picture.
At Mass this week remind your child to listen carefully
for the story of what Jesus did at the Last Supper. You
might alert your child to listen well as the Eucharistic
Prayer begins.
Gifts for Mass
Invite each family member to think of and to do one act of love to
offer to Jesus at Mass this week.
