Chapter 21: Easter

In this lesson your child learned that after Jesus died He rose to new life. It is this new life that He shares with us. We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ every Sunday. We celebrate it most solemnly on Easter Sunday itself. It is the day of Jesus' final victory for us over death and sin. It is the feast of Christian hope--we are assured in the resurrection of Christ that we, too, will rise to new life. Easter calls Christians to a renewed and living faith--a faith that reaches out to the poor, the abandoned, and the despairing so that they may know the hope won for us by Christ.

Faith Summary

  • Jesus rose from the dead on Easter.
  • Jesus gives us new life.
