This
week your child recalled the gifts of God our creator
and the promise of hope that God gave at the beginning
of human history. The promise was fulfilled in our
Savior, Jesus Christ. Your child also learned about the
Blessed Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy
Spirit. The doctrine of the Blessed Trinity is a central
dogma of our Catholic faith. It always teaches us of
God's great love for us.
Created
in the image and likeness of God and then given a share
in God's own life at Baptism, we are called to share in
God's creative (Father), redeeming (Son), and
sanctifying (Holy Spirit) work in our families, in our
parish, in our world.
Caring
for God's World
Talk
about ways you can show your love for God at home and in
your parish. Plan ways you and your family can care for
all that God created.
The
Bible
Show
your child the family Bible. Make a special setting for
your Bible. Read Genesis 1:1-31 or Psalm 139 with your
family. Share together what this word of God means to
you.
