This
week your child learned that Jesus Christ is fully God
and fully human. Jesus is the human face of God,
eternally turned toward us with unconditional love. He
came among us to show us God's mercy, "to bring
good news to the poor, to proclaim liberty to captives,
and freedom to the oppressed" (Luke 4:18).
He
was like us in all things but sin, sharing our human
feelings, our human joys and sorrows. Jesus is
Immanuel--God with us.

Help
your child make a flower or a butterfly and paste it on
a card. Encourage him or her to write "Jesus loves
you" on the back and give it to someone who needs
to hear these words.
