Chapter 6: Prayer

This week your child was drawn into a deeper understanding of the meaning and value of prayer and was introduced to different forms of prayer. To be a Christian is to be a person of prayer. We can use the formal prayers of our Church or we can pray in our own words. We can pray alone or with others. Prayer, however, is not simply talking to God. In prayer we listen to God with our hearts, with our entire selves. In all forms of prayer we come to God, who loves us more than we love ourselves.

Faith Summary

  • Prayer is talking and listening to God.
  • We can pray in many ways.
