This week, the season of Advent was presented as a time of waiting
for Jesus' coming both at Christmas and at the end of
the world. In our parish Advent liturgies we are invited
to recognize the rebirth of Jesus in our lives. We are
encouraged to make room for His "comings" by
growing in faith and love. By accepting Jesus into our
lives and by trying to follow Him in our love and care
for others, we prepare ourselves for His coming in glory
at the end of time. In a way, our whole Christian life
is a time to prepare for the coming of Jesus each day
and at the end of our lives.
Faith Summary
- During Advent we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus at
Christmas.
- We prepare also for Jesus' coming again at the end of the world.
