In this lesson your child was introduced to Mary, the mother of
Jesus. Catholics have a special devotion to Mary. We
believe that as the mother of Jesus, Mary has a very
important place in the work of our salvation. At the end
of His life, as He hung on the cross, Jesus gave Mary to
His disciples to be the mother of all Christians.
Take a few minutes to review the Faith Summary on page
95. Ask your child, "Who is Mary?" During this
week talk to your child about your own faith in Mary.
Remind your child that Mary will always love and care
for us. Help your child to learn the Hail Mary.
Mary's Garden
Mary grew in faith when she said yes to God. With your child pray
the Hail Mary. Ask Mary to help you and your child grow
in faith. Then have your child complete the activity on
page 95.
