Chapter 25: Jesus Is with Us Always

In this lesson, your child looked back over the wonderful things learned about God, others, and our world. Your child also looked forward to the delights of summertime. The family activities suggested below will help your child remember the great truths of our faith experienced in the kindergarten program, and will encourage your child to continue to grow in faith. The conviction that God is always present to us is a central belief of Catholic spirituality. Go over with your child the "My Catholic Faith Book." It summarizes what your child has learned this year.

Since our children live in a world that is constantly changing, it is especially important that they understand the meaning of forever. Use the Faith Summary on page 161 to help your child appreciate that Jesus' love for them lasts forever--it will never change, and it will never end.

A Good Catch

There will be times when your child will be "fishing" for something to do. Talk with your child about the ways we can show that Jesus is with us. Make fish cut-outs and write what you and your child will work on together.

Put paper clips on each fish. Make a rod by using a straw with string. Tie a magnet at the end of the string. Place the fish face down on a plate. Have your child go fishing to catch the activity to do.
