In
this liturgical lesson your child was gently introduced
to God's word and to the book of God's word, the Bible.
The core message of the Bible--that God is always with
us, loving us--is the heart of this lesson.
Reading
the Bible can help us to "read" our own lives
better. It can help us to find in life's joys, sorrows,
achievements, and disappointments the God who is always
with us and always telling us, "You are special to
Me. I love you very much" (from Isaiah 43:4).
Take
a minute to go over the Faith Summary on page 47
with your
child. If you do not already have a family Bible, you
might want to get one now. Keep it in a special place.
Show your child how to handle it with care and respect.
A
Bible Bookmark
On
page 47 is a sample of a Bible bookmark you and your
child can make. You might want to help your child color,
and cut out the bookmark. It could be kept in your Bible
to mark the place of your family Scripture moment.
